Samantha Mohr

Mohr, an UGA student who suggested her to enter into Miss Columbus 1985 pageant, won it. After winning, Mohr qualified for her place in the Miss Georgia pageant which was staged in June 1985. Mohr won the title of Miss Georgia 1985 on 22nd June, 1985. The winner earned more than $3,500 in scholarship money and other prizes at the state pageant. Mohr was Miss Georgia and made public appearances all over Georgia as part of her duties. Mohr participated as Georgia at Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Mohr had a 22-to-1 chance in winning the Miss America title. Computer modelling proved to be successful in forecasting Susan Akin's success. Mohr did not make the Top 10 finalist for the title of Miss America. Mohr's reign in the role of Miss Georgia lasted until she named her successor, Marlesa Ball, Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28th in 1986. Samantha Samantha Samantha
