Srushti began to prepare herself for the UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. She was unsure if engineering is the best career choice for her. Then, she realized that her passion was in civil service and began to concentrate on the field. Her parents encouraged her to pursue civils, and find an employment that would benefit the general public. Her motivation never waned and was focused in her pursuit to become an IAS. She believes that focusing is crucial to pass this government exam and become a civil servant. She was determined to get through the exam in one go, and she was able to put in a lot of hours.
