Ally Sheedy Bio

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy has been an American actress since 1983. Her film debut was in Bad Boys (1983). Then she joined the Brat Pack, and later went to appear in the films WarGames The Breakfast Club as well as Short Circuit. In recognition of her role on Lisa Cholodenko's High Art Sheedy won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female lead. Sheedy got married to David Lansbury (the nephew of Angela Lansbury) on April 12,1992. He is also the son Edgar Lansbury, who was initially the director of Godspell. Beckett (born in the year 1994) is the son of the couple. Sheedy believes she gained a lot from Beckett's transformation. Alexandra Elizabeth Ally Sheedy - born June 13, 1962 - is an American author and actress. She also works in stage, film, and television. Her most notable roles are the lead actress in Brat Pack's movies The Breakfast Club, and St. Elmo's Fire. The Breakfast Club is the title of a John Hughes movie. The meaning behind the film name "The Breakfast Club" stems from a nickname that some schools give to detention. The students are likely to show up at detention by the time of breakfast. They are the Next Generation. Sheedy now has "teacher on her impressive resume. Sheedy has taught acting at City College, New York City.
